Wow interesting. Surprised to see Princeton so far down on the list
Also just noticed that Harvard is not on the list. Why?
That’s pretty interesting, but how can you believe a ranking system that puts Harvard at 41, down 38 positions from last year?
^ The ranking is nonsensical but it’s still nice to see Duke at number 4. Prospective students assign a lot of weight to this sort of thing. I wouldn’t be surprised if this influences their thinking and becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophesy!
Also, Duke has been having an absolutely incredible domestic rankings year. It seems as though rankings that focus on outputs almost always view us in an incredibly favorable light. Duke has clearly mastered the art of making students eminently employable (just look at how good Fuqua is at turning middling executives into corporate big-wigs).
The Parchment numbers move around quite a bit from year to year. But averaging the yearly numbers from 2012 through 2016 gives you a top 25 that most people wouldn’t complain too much about.
