Pardon my cluelessness...

Being in Canada, I am unfamiliar w/the concept of a GPA.
Searching on the Internet, this is what I conjured:

4.0 95-100 A
3.9 94 A
3.8 93 A
3.7 92 A
3.6 91 A
3.5 90 A
3.4 89 B
3.3 88 B
3.2 87 B
3.1 86 B
3.0 85 B

Is the above true? So those getting 4.0s on this forum are gods and goddesses?
Ivy and Oxbridge only cares to look at applications of the 4.0 calibre?

Is GPA calculated from all four years of high school or only the latter 2?

:(

that's just the scale out of 4.0...some schools do it out of 5.0 or other numbers. also, AP classes get weighted, which is why some peoples' gpas look extra big. i know my school calculates gpa for all four years, but apparently there are some high schools that don't include freshman year.

i am lucky that my school does this:
4.0 89.5-100 A
3.0 79.5-89.4 B
2.0 69.5-79.4 C
etc.

this is how it's actually written in the student handbook. :D
