Parent as faculty. Does it count for anything for admission?

Hi all,
My father is a Professor at the University of Michigan, and I know that certain schools (ie. NYU) would take that into account for admission.

Does Michigan do this too? And are the tuition fees lowered because of that? Or is it completely worthless?

Bumpbumpbump.

bump after 2 hours? Wait a bit…

Yes, it’ll help slightly if your father is a professor but not anything substantial.

Yes, it helps, but as j89 points out, the advantage is not great.

All right. Thanks guys.

^Actually, your dad might be in a better position to answer that question than we are ;)
