<p>I have questions regarding the Plus loan and if I will be denied or not I have a credit score of about a 700 but have one item on my credit report from a old bill that I dont beleive is mine. Will I get denied for a student loan for my child? And also how soon do I have to start repaying this loan? is there an option to pay after my student graduates or is it as soon as it is dispursed? </p>
<p>If the item is more than 90 days past due, within the last 5 years, you may be denied. However, dispute it now, and then they will have to remove it from your report if they cannot resolve it.</p>
<p>You can defer payments until after graduation.</p>
