Parents/Current College Students willing to read Essay

<p>Hello! I'm sure I'm not the only one that would rather have a parent or someone with experience in the admissions process read and edit application essays. Could those willing to be these very helpful volunteers please comment on this thread? I'll be first in line to ask for your assistance! Hahaha</p>

<p>I'm aware that there is a "Consolidated list of essay helpers" thread but I've been PMing volunteers for a couple of weeks now and haven't gotten a response.</p>

<p>My son’s school’s counselors were pretty terrible and we ended using an online counseling service which actually turned out to quite good. We actually asked the advisor to help tutor our son with his essays and that is going well. </p>

<p>The website we used is called thefatenvelope.org if any of you want to check it out. It’s run by a bunch of Stanford students and is pretty well done.</p>
