Parents, I NEED YOUR INPUT!!

Okay. So I just submitted my application and would like some input. On my application, though, I think I didn't give myself a central theme. Can you guys read a general summary and tell me what you think of me? Like, off the top of your head?

Profile: Mexican, English and Spanish fluent speaker, Citizen

Family: First to go to College, low-income

Education: Online Classes, Unweighted GPA 3.69 , Weighted GPA 4.04, Rank 11/631 (highest GPA is a 4.33), 4 AP's this year, 3 AP's Junior year (1 Honors), 1 AP Sophomore Year (3 Honors), Freshmen Year (4 Honors), Spanish 3 Sophomore year, 4 Academic Honors, 1 Sports Honors (Got to Finals). GPA rising most of my time in high school except for Junior year, where it went from a 4.5 to a 4.1 (got a C in a class that was a B first semester)

Testing: SAT I Decent (CR 640, M 750, W 660), ACT Good (E 33, M 33, W 33, S 32), SAT II Eh (US 730, M1 620, M2 620, Bio M 600, Bio E 560), AP Scores Good (Euro 4, US 5, Eng 5, Bio 3, US Gov, Calc AB, Physics 1, Psychology, Macro (self studying))

Activites (this is what I'm worried about): 3 Other Activities (2 school oriented w/ community service, 1 gov't oriented), 1 Career Oriented (Pre-Med, Research on Anorexia Social Causes), 2 Student Gov/ Politics (ASB and political activity in my area w/ elections), 2 Academic (NHS and OCCAN, an Honor), and 2 community service (1 with children and 1 with fixing homes for the elderly/disabled).
3 leadership roles my junior year (small except for Treasurer), and 3 leadership roles my senior year (small)
2 I started freshmen year, 4 i started sophomore year, 3 I started Junior Year, and 1 i started Senior year (political activity)

Essay: I talked about books and how much I love it. I tied Oliver Twist to my community and house and what I learned from books and my community. Ended with the passion in trying to change people.

My major I've mostly put is Neuroscience, then Political Science, then Psychology.

So what do you guys think by just reading this? How would you describe me? I only mentioned things that are within my control.

My letter of rec, from the one i have seen, was glowing and she only knew me for 2 years. I have my other teacher writing another one and he has known me for 3 years, along with being in one of his clubs all 4 years. So hopefully he'll be just as good.

My kind of mid/high match schools that I love are Hamilton and Haverford. Do you guys think I still have a good shot at calling those schools my matches?

I think you are good. You are an URM, multi-lingual,and first generation college applicant, all of which are in your favor. Your ACT is great, your grades very good, and you have many AP’s. Are you really self-studying FIVE AP’s? Wow. You have good activities and leadership roles. Sat I and Sat II weren’t stellar, but given what else you have to offer here in terms of diversity, I think you will get some nice offers, especially if your essays are amazing.

Oh god, no! Just self studying Macro, which isn’t offered on campus. I don’t think anyone can self-study 5 D:
Thank you for your input :)

I like your chances!

For the big name schools the concept of Hispanic URM is long gone. However, for the schools that you mentioned it might exist. BTW with a 33 ACT and good GPA, a bigger name school is not out of the question, so you should apply. GL
