Parent's Occupation "Position/Title"

<p>Okay so on CommonApp in the section about parent occupation it asks for "Position/Title". What does that mean? Doesn't the "Occupation" part already answer everything?</p>

<p>If the occupation part does answer everything, then just repeat whatever was in that box, leave the position/title box blank, or write “unknown” or “none.”</p>

<p>Like if my mother is an accountant. What POSSIBILITIES are there that I can put for Position/Title? Like give me examples please? Like me an Occupation and then give me the attached Position/Title. Thanks!</p>

<p>Haha well my mother is an accountant. I’m putting ‘accounts receivable supervisor,’ because that’s what she is :P</p>

<p>Ask your parents. They should know.</p>

<p>Example: Position: Staff engineer / Title: Power Design Engineer.</p>

<p>Position is more general. Title sometimes has nothing to do with the position. Sometimes very specific. Or they could be the same.</p>
