so where do people stay for parents weekend. Hampton inn started reservations at 10am online today for 2019 weekend and its was booked in 10min. so what now?
You’ve tried all the nearby hotels? Best Western Hunt Ridge has rooms - and that is a decent place to stay and pretty convenient. We stayed there the first year, and this past year had to stay at the Natural Bridge resort – too far! Happily, I got in at Hampton Inn!
Area budget hotels are fine - you won’t be there much anyway. Try the Comfort Inn or Country Inn and Suites.

We stayed at the Wyndham Wingate, and it was fine. Our first year we wound up in Staunton, which is a cute town but not fun to have a drive after evening events.

do they have shuttles back and forth to campus so you don’t need to worry about parking?
Country Inn and Suites is a five-minute drive from campus. Parking isn’t difficult, especially on Saturday. W&L shuttle (Traveller) will run at night and get you back to your hotel if you stay out for late-night events or parties.
