Paresky, new student center, opened last Friday, February 16th

Members of the Class of 2011 will be the first to enjoy Paresky for their full four years (that may make up for the ongoing Stetson-Sawyer construction, scheduled to be completed about the time the '11s leave Williamstown).

Here are some links to photos, a video, and a webcam you may enjoy:

To be honest, it's times like this when I wish I could be a freshman again so I could enjoy the student center for a full four years. Alas, I only get to have it for another 1.5 years. Enjoy it, incoming first-years. The place is awesome.

Funny enough, I didn't walk into Paresky until Monday morning, and only for a few minutes, and that's because a friend signaled to me from within as I was walking past. I was quite sick during the weekend, and besides having heaps to do, I wasn't that eager to go in. I wanted to walk in at my own time.

But I agree - a fantastic student center it is. Dining Services numbers at Greylock, Mission and Driscoll have fallen by 40%, 40% and 20% respectively since Paresky [Marketplace] opened.

Yeah, but that just means the lines there are mad long...
