Paris -- June 25?

Is anyone on this board going to be in Paris during the week of June 25? I'll be there with my family, but I'd love to spend time with some people my age, and with similar interests/concerns (i.e. getting into MIT EA in the Fall!). So, PM me, please!

You win the prize for strange post of the day ;-)

This is novel and good, however.

Ben -- when I saw, on the main message board, that you had replied to my initial quesion, I was overjoyed. Imagine, in Paris with Ben Golub -- and this after reading your posts for over a year, and having visited Caltech but not having been able to meet you! But then, hopes dashed... utter disappointment. Life is definitely rather unfair.
Well, at least you thought the post was "novel and good." Bon. I do think the MIT board needs new threads -- isn't everybody getting fed up with the "Can-I-get-in-I-only-have-2400SATs-15AP's-(14-5's-Mandarin-Chinese -self-study-4)-4.50GPA-Westinghouse-Winner-Mother-Teresa-Award-Olympic-Silver-Medal" posts?
Side note: once again, you've made me pause to re-consider Caltech.
Anyone else out there gonna be in Paris? I want to hang out in the Place du Contrascape (and not with the rentals).

Bad luck. I'll be in Paris a week before, but between the 19th and the 25th I'll be in Italy.

magd -- I am sorry my post produced such emotional instability. : ). I agree wholeheartedly that more threads like this are good.

It is a shame we won't meet in Paris, but perhaps you can come to Caltech instead (eventually). It is better in some ways than than Paris (not so cold) and better in some ways than MIT (not underwater).

Magd - I think I'll be in paris that week.

However, Ben Golub may have convinced me that CalTech is the place to be instead. Then again, why would I go to CalTech when the one and only MIT is closer to the home base?

Yeah man, tough break. Imagine being able to punch Ben Golub in the face.

And in PARIS too.

Man, sorry you missed out on that.

i'm at MIT pretty regularly if you'd like to meet, JLP dearest ;-)
