What are you guys planning on doing this summer before heading off to the notorious M.I.T.?

i'm going to paris for a month. i'll probably spend the better part of that time drooling over exhibits at art museums. =)

Hopefully I will go back to IMO!

Oooo....Paris! I loved Paris when I was there! Have a wonderful time; it's a wonderful city to shop and eat in, if you like to do that kind of stuff!

will work on visa stuff... will prepare for some advanced standings, unfortunately, can't go to icho...

for fun?

i have no idea... any advices?

I'm going to...
try to make as much money as possible :P
continue some software projects i'm working on.
teach a few math/programming classes to high school students.
train for football.
prep for advanced standing exams.
have a ton of fun

I am going to garden/cook for a psycho-rich lady with my best friend. It will be nice to spend some time with a close friend before we head off in separate directions :( Hopefully, I'll make a good amount of money...
I also want to take multivariable calculus at a community college; the course is really cheap and it would keep my brain active over the summer and hopefully ease the transition into college. I'd almost certainly have to take multivariable calculus again, as the MIT version is sure to be far more rigorous. Maybe I could take the really challenging, theoretical version on the second time around...

I am actually thinking about taking a math class at a local university (i get discounted credits), and (hopefully) getting a job at Victoria's Secret or Nordstrom.

I'll be workin my @$$ off tryin to save up money and studying for advanced standing exams

why not put aside the academics for a little while and just have fun for the summer before college? :-P

well, considering that we have the FEE and math diagnostic, i somehow don't think the summer will be entirely study-free anyway.
and i'm studying for the exams after coming back from france too. though i'm not really expecting to pass them...

I'm doing a research attachment on tissue engineering=)

I'm gonna attend every single awesome concert that happens in my hometown and do some research on cardiovascular stuff and trying to make money and watch many many many movie marathons with tons of hot guys in them!

working during June and July

hopefully going to Iceland with a friend in August

studying for advanced standing exams

doing cool stuff in the mountains with friends

i got my job at Nordstrom as a sales representative! just letting you guys know...haha

I have a job as a lifeguard, and my goal is to make $100. Haha. The pay isn't so good and I have to pay off my training first. I highly doubt I'll be saving any money anyway. =) I'll probably spend as I earn to go to the movies and stuff- you know, enjoy my summer. Or I'll use the money to decorate my dorm room.

Other than that, my goal is to spend as much time as possible in places that aren't my house- the movies, the beach, the mall, my friend's pool, and so on. This will be the first summer that I have a car and I am totally looking forward to taking full advantage of it. Oh yeah, so most of my earnings will go towards gas money anyway...

So yeah, other than the FEE and the math diagnostic, I will be doing no thinking. At all. =)

-Work: web development & reimplementing some PHP
-Travel: Going to NJ for the Lucent Global Science Summit
-Probably studying for ASEs, sigh
