parking permit?

For move-in day, where do I get the parking permit? I've been searching everywhere on slugmail, but I can't find anything talking about how parking and unloading is going to work out.

I’m gonna be going to Crown College, btw.

I’m going to crown also. Which house you going?

I got this red paper I should put on the rearview mirror from that packet that also told us who our roommates are. I’m in crown too.

You should have also received an email from TAPS in your UCSC email. It did not seem continuing student specific and referenced all move-in days including for new transfers and frosh. It had details for the whole campus along with lots that will serve as “move-in lots.” Obviously there might be something more specific to your individual residential college, though.

Can anyone forward me the email that contains all the move-in instructions?

clhu@slugmail.ucsc.edu

The information is on TAPS website too.

[UC Santa Cruz - Transportation & Parking Services](http://www2.ucsc.edu/taps/2010%20move%20in.html)

I found that. However, where do we get the move-in pass that was supposedly issued by our college? Or do I just bring the paper that tells my housing assignments?

@ryanpan: I’m in Galen.

It probably varies from college to college and whether you are a new student or a continuing. My experience has always been you receive it when you check in.

Unless you’ve heard differently from your college with different instructions, just go to your college’s housing office and check in on your move-in day. Your temporary permit (that allows you to park in non-marked spots for unloading purposes) and your move-in permit will most likely be issued at that time.
