Hi,
Would it be better for college admissions if I got a job teaching STEM to students or went to summer camp for computer science for a couple weeks? I would enjoy both, and if the camp is something I should do then I may be able to do both. I’m planning on applying for engineering, not comp sci, to colleges, and the summer camp would be at a local university rather than a more prestigious program (unless anyone knows of some with open deadlines).
It won’t make much of a difference on your application so if you have a strong preference I’d go with that. Personally, I’d work at the camp and earn some money (especially since you don’t plan to pursue computer science and it is such a short program).
It’s not going to make a big difference either way. Schools want to see that you did something with your time - job, camp, volunteering, band, sports.
