Would a summer camp help my chances?

So in a few weeks I have the opportunity to go to a week-long away camp. It's sort of like a business competition where everyone is assigned to a company, etc. You DO have to apply to be in it, but I don't think it's very prestigious, more like first come first serve.
But the thing is, part of me would rather stay home and work/volunteer/make money, but my mom says "is one week of working worth missing something that would look good on your apps?"
But I am trying to make a lot of money this summer, and I haven't had much of a chance to work because I'm taking a class at community college. I'm also having a hard time scheduling college visits and interviews, especially since I go back to school a little earlier this year.

So my question is....would doing this camp look good on my apps? Especially since I'm going to be a senior this year, and my GPA is a little low.

Ive worked at a few. I say include it. Will help not hurt

If you are interested in business, it won’t hurt you, but it might not help much either. However, do what it is you truly want to do. Volunteering and working are great ways to spend your summer as well. The bottom line is to be productive and not just watch TV all summer long. Don’t go to the camp if you are only doing it for college.

Honestly unless you did something or won some kind of award at the camp, I don’t see what kind of category that would fall under and how you would even list that. If you enjoy it, then by all means do it. But I don’t think it really has any ‘weight’ like you’re looking for for admissions, and I get the feeling thats all you’re really looking at it for.
