Hi, I am seeking some advice about whether to take MBA locally that will be University of Toronto Rotman or US, ideally UC Berkeley Haas or UCLA Anderson. I am currently as an analyst at a company that doing risk/benefit management. I am technical person and doing technical analysis, like database/data analysis. The reason for MBA is that I want to climb up the ladder in my current or other companies, but generally in the enterprise software arena. In order to do so, business skills are very vital in this area as I see most of my high-ranking managers are business than technical persons or combining tech and business education.

I know that either Berkeley Haas or UCLA Anderson have many advantages over Toronto Rotman, and tech-related jobs are better in Cali than Toronto. However, the issues are that
1. Expenses are lower if going for Toronto Rotman
2. I can do part-time and stay working
3. I have established my own family and will have a kid soon

I will definitely choose Rotman if it is at same level as Haas and Anderson as I am a UofToronto graduate. I was thinking about going for a Masters of Engineering, but then I feel that a graduate degree of engineering won't be that good if I want to pursue the business side than a MBA.

Maybe some of you have been in my shoe, and then that will be great if you provide some thoughts.

Sorry for the long talk. Thank you for any suggestion in advance.
