Participating in psychology experiment

Anyone had experience participating for pay?

RSVP (Research Subject Volunteer Pool) | Department of Psychology, UC Berkeley

What’s with all the discrimination against lefties? :(

An endless supply of poor college guinea pigs.

Ha, the world of academia wouldn’t be like now if it weren’t for those grad students and us doing all the work and study for little or no pay.

I was involved in one where I listened to different tones and identified their pitch. It was a good experience. I prefer the psych experiments over the Haas ones. They’re usually less complicated and don’t require as much labor.

I’ve done a few experiments with Ivry lab. TMS, TDCS, fMRI scan, and normal behavioural studies. I don’t really recommend any of the first three; they’re extremely boring and can be uncomfortable. I always want to fall asleep when I do them.

I recommend Phonolab and Xlab over RSVP.

i did a sleep deprivation study a few semesters back. good memories. cute researchers :)
