Party Colleges

NYU a party school?! that's absurd.

College of Charleston, George Washington University(or so I hope!!)

Chico has 1% of the nation's alcohol, 2% of the nations Coors, and the safeway in Chico sells more alcohol than any other in the U.S.

ptmagnolia:

not true. its nickname is NYZoo; there must be a reason.
sure, people work hard there. but that doesnt mean nyu doesnt party HARD.

chico state for sure is a big party school. both my cousins went there and i went one year for halloween... i've never seen so much alcohol or so many drunk people in my life.

Most any large state school is going throw good parties. I'm pretty sure Syracuse U. is a pretty good party school too at least thats what seems like to me when I visit.

Deep Springs. Wildest college I've known of.

........................

In case you didn't note it, that was serious sarcasm.

yale parties hard. we were in Sports Illustrated as the best of the ivies, and cited for our halloween, second to madison.

i can vouch. parties are sick, cops are cool as hell. its awesome.

I always laugh when I see lists for the biggest party schools. Every school is a party school, it just depends on who you know and how involved in it you are. Want a party?...you won't have much of an issue finding one at MOST college campuses.

I agree with RodLo. Every school is a party school. Big universities, private universities, community colleges, and I'm pretty sure the Ivy League likes to party hardy. However, I think I read on a list somewhere that University of Wisconsin was the number one party school. I don't know if that's still true today. And besides, how do you measure parties anyway?

Volume of alcohol/illegal substances per student? Average volume in decibels of the campus past midnight? Ummm... most occurences of alcohol poisoning?

"And besides, how do you measure parties anyway?"

true.

" Every school is a party school."

true.

If parties require alcohol and/or drugs, then I disagree.

Madison is the Party School. There is no competition. They are ranked by someone (dang i forgot who) to be number 1 school for alcohol, and number 2 for hard liquor. What do you expect, this is freakin' wisconsin. This is germany in the states. I once saw a poster they had, that said (no joke) 20% of our underage classmen choose not to drink alcohol, and 42 (or something)% dont use drugs. Yeah, what about the other 80% and 58% lol. That was hilarious, i should have grabbed it lol. but yeah, madison is the number one party college. (to bad im not looking for that.)

I have to agree that Madison parties like no other.

most schools are, so long as they are not impossible to get into

any large public university will do, besides like Berkeley, or Humboldt.. just pick one with the standard frat culture and not some hippy or religious school

UCSB is an INSANE party school.

My friend was telling me about parties that stretch into streets...things were being lit on fire...absolute chaos and insanity.

Every school a party school is used too often in my opinion. Go to halloween at Chico, UCSB, or Cal Poly. Then go to halloween at Pepperdine, Berkeley or Stanford and tell me if you can see a difference. Sure there are kids who party at every school, BUT there are very distinct differences between party schools and non party schools.

Perhaps you should consult a dictionary

Party: A group of people who have gathered to participate in an activity.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=party

According to this definition....a very large amount of things can be called a "party." Crap, you could say that not only is every college a party school, but every time college students attend class, they are partying.
