What schools have a reputation for being "party schools"?

Arizona State!!

type playboy party schools in google and click the first hit

Chico State

florida state

university of georgia

Second Arizona State.

University of Oregon! Reefer madness is going on in that campus...

university of colorado drinks a lot, as does university of texas and texas state university (formerly south west texas university)

Ya thats what I thought! Anyone second that UT Austin is the biggest party school?

I hear University of Chicago and California Institute of Technology throw some wicked hot parties with some insanely hot chicks and tons of free booze.

I heard University of Chicago's social scene is one of the worst out there.

Albany is usually considered to be a big party school, I think. Around here, no one beats UMass. SUNY-Oswego students are supposed to be almost unmatched when it comes to alcohol consumption. Vassar, Bard, and Reed have a lot of weed. Isn't Maryland known for partying?

if you didn't catch the sarcasm, it's a shame...

I've also heard that the social scene at Chicago is nonexistant. Maybe they just tell prospective students that, and then have insane underground parties in secret...

PR has their rankings down right now as they revamp things for 2006, but a Google search says Alabama and Kansas are also formidable in that arena. For people who don't want to go to Playboy's website, their list is:

1) Arizona
2) CSU-Chico
3) Rollins
4) Louisiana State
5) West Virginia
6) Colorado
7) Wisconsin
8) Connecticut (eh, it's mostly off-campus)
9) Kansas
10) San Diego State
11) Georgia
12) Ohio State
13) Iowa State
14) Florida State
15) Colorado State
16) Florida
17) Tulane
18) Washington State
19) East Carolina
20) Michigan State
21) Mississippi
22) UCSB
23) Lehigh
24) Vanderbilt
25) James Madison

Oh, and RC0813, I use a text-to-speech reader. The tone is intentionally flat, so unless you use italics to indicate the tone you want, no, I generally can't pick up sarcasm. (Bet you weren't expecting that response, were you?)

Quite the response.

How was THAT ;)
