I always feel like I don't fit in because I don't party. Is it okay to go to parties and not drink or do drugs? Is partying a good way to meet new people?

It sure is. But I find it’s more rewarding to have smaller get-togethers with close friends than go to generic parties. Partying is a good way to meet these friends though. I don’t drink or smoke, but it’s not usually a problem. No one really cares whether you do or don’t, and being the DD is always a great way to earn brownie points.

It depends on the party for me. The last one I went to had Keystone Light, and I hate cheap beer, so I told everyone that I was Mormon. It made for an interesting night.

Go to LAN parties.

It’s definitely okay. Actually I’ve found that screwing with drunk/high people can be more fun than being drunk/high oneself.

Parties are fun regardless.

I’ve been on this site too long. I saw DD and thought “darling daughter”. Uhg…

^Oh lord, yes.

We party on HSL.

Okay that sounded extremely dorky, but so what.

One time, at this crazy high school party, I forgot my cat5 cable.

Bummer.

fine by me. if you drive me to mcdonalds in the middle of the night.

I don’t party either. I feel like such a loser at times because everyone is talking about what goes down at parties they’ve been to and I just have to pretend like I know what they’re talking about.

On a side note about party stories, this was the craziest one I’ve ever heard of: [Probation for 6 whose party trashed house | Philadelphia Inquirer | 06/23/2007](http://www.philly.com/inquirer/local/8144497.html). Happened a few years ago, and I know people who know people who were there.

It depends on what type of people you’re looking to meet.

You guys should take a few of your friends and go to 16+ clubs if your state allows that. Its like a school dance without the awkwardness of everyone knowing everyone else. Plus there’s no alcohol served so there’s no pressure to drink.

I don’t party either, which rather works well, because most of the people in my school aren’t the party-types to begin with.

However, once they get to college – that’s a different story.

Will partying bring your grades down. I want to meet more ppl, but I don’t want my grades to drop because of that

^um, partying definitely couldn’t bring your grades down by causation, if that’s what you mean. You can party and get good grades, you just can’t let partying take over your life, and it’s even more imperative that you be good at time management.
