i'm a rising senior who can't seem to find a college that fits me academically and socially. i love hanging out with friends and being social, but i DO NOT want to be in a huge partying enviornment in college (it gets old fast...) i'm looking for schools on the smaller side, my SATs are 800/660/730 with 790/750 SAT IIs, 25/205 class rank, interested in chemistry. they don't have to be too competitive.
any suggestions would be appreciated. =]
(this could be a great oppurtunity for those who are already in college to plug their schools =] )

Harvey
Mudd

How big or small do you want your school to be?

Most LACs would fit the bill and even some Ivies because small/smaller than average frat scenes mean smaller than average party scenes.

i'm pretty flexible size-wise. 2000-1500ish maybe? a lot of the LACs ive seen have big greek life...? and probably something east coast ish.

Which LACs have you been looking at :P

Some LACs that might work for you (some might be a bit small) (a range of selectivity here) (and there are certainly many more, this is just off the top of my head):

East Coast: WESLEYAN (yes, plug of my school. Feel free to ask questions about it). Vassar, Swarthmore, Haverford, Bowdoin , Middlebury, Skidmore. I think Amherst would work too, though I don't actually know the size of their Greek scene.

Non-east coast: Pomona, Harvey Mudd, Carleton, Reed, Occidental, Lewis+Clark, Grinnell, Macalester.

Also, I agree that many of the ivies would work. Columbia, Yale and Brown all sprung to mind, especially. Also look into Tufts.

Tufts, Johns Hopkins
