Pass / Fail Classes in Undergrad

How do law schools evaluate pass / fail classes when they are evaluating an applicant's GPA. Do they convert it to a letter grade (such as a D) or do they just disregard it entirely. I'm a second semester junior and I've already taken one class pass fail and I'm considering taking another this semester. I would like to take a fun elective this semester but I don't want to concentrate on the grade. Would this be detrimental to my transcript? I don't plan on applying to law school until two or so years or so after I graduate, but I just want to plan ahead.
Thanks!
