ppl keep saying admission is all about passion
what if i don feel passionate about anything
ok
i do have some stuff that i like to do, but i don really feel passionate about them
for example, i play golf but im not like passionate enough to create golf club or whatever..
i just play with family for fun
and im in the academic competition team, but i just try to win. i don really feel
passionate
the only time i can think of is when i used to skateboard
when i skated, i felt good and i kept doing it, until i got bored and quit
so any other ppl who feel the same way as me?
and some advises would be appreciated..

I'm in the same boat, if not a similar-looking boat with the same color paint, as you. The closest thing to a passion I have is Marching Band, but I get jaded about it when I realize that it isn't something I can do for the rest of my life and that my unjustly-inflated ego naturally causes me to have disdain for the typical band nerd. (However, I think that is because I am the Drumline Captain, and we are the most important section in the band)

Advice...do you think you have the literary acumen to take one of these non-passions and make it sound like a passion? (ie I get the same feeling chipping a ball in the hole for eagle at 18, that an obese child gets when he sees a cinnamon bun.)

yeah i can bs passion
but adcoms supposedly know that i bsed it..
and im in marching band too
and i feel disdain for band nerds as well so it's ok
but i play clarinet and i hate it..

I'm kind of in the same boat. I mean, there are a bunch of things I like doing, but they're not really connected. A lot of people will say, like, "I have a passion for engineering" and they'll have a bunch of science ECs and they'll have some engineering-related internship and all that. But I'd be surprised if the majority of applicants to most colleges weren't just normal kids who really like doing the things they do, but can't really say "I've wanted to study molecular biology since I was in the womb...", ya know?
