Where do I list that I have US Patent application pending? Under Academic Honors or Non-Academic?
It is immaterial unless you can relate it to other work you have done.
A pending patent is not an honor. It is paying money to send in a patent application (you of course HAVE to have submitted a patent application and paid the fees, to be able to say “patent pending” you can’t just plan to apply at some point).
So where should I list it? Yes, all fees are paid.
You shouldn’t, probably. A granted patent is pretty cool, but having a patent pending is something that anyone that can pay the fees could have done. It’s not really an ‘honor.’
It depends of course on what the patent is for.
