Path to NU..

Right now Im a junior.

I am not amazing like most people on this site, but I am sort of motivated. I am not in a lot of EC but I do whatever I do to the best of my ability.

My Gpa is not that great (3.85uw) but my class rank is decent (Top 3%?)
I will hopefully show colleges my strength during this year (tho it will be hell)

I am in 3 clubs (all academic)

In one I help support the gifted program and help guide others in highschool.
In another I have awards in Economics, and I have competed on the state level.
In another I have numerous awards in Econ. and Math and will hopefully with compete nationally.

Table tennis society and 11yrs piano (both recreational because I just love the sport/ instrument)

I am taking the SAT this January.
I will probably recieve a score from 2100 to 2200. (Might be able to get up into higher 2200s and lower 2300s after I retake it w/ or w/o superscore)

I am doing 6 AP tests this year, and feel confident about scoring in the 4s and 5s.

I love to volunteer and have about 350 hours in a nursing home (1 year) I will probably have around 700-1000 hours by ED deadline.

Any advice how to buff up my app so I can have a shot at NU?

Good start for only having two years of school behind you. You need to ace the next year on the tests and in class. Keep up the good work so far!

I’d say your extrcurriculars are pretty good for a rising junior but now id say you need to answer the question: so what? Why do you do these things? What do they mean to you? What have you learned from these experiences?

Do your research about nu and figure out where/why you belong.

Good luck!
