My friend wants to know what the top schools for pathology or microbiology are. If anyone has a short list of about 10-15 just post it on this thread. thanks.

Pathology and Microbiology as majors are rather different. There are dozens of schools with good undergraduate Microbiology programs. Pathology, on the other hand, mostly exists only as a graduate program or medical speciality for someone who already has an MD degree.

400metres, I am an MD pathologist, and Coureur is exactly right about these disciplines in the US. I do not know if the usage of the term "pathology" is different in the UK, though - there might be some sort of undergrad program in Britain or EUrope. Do you know Coureur?

No, I don't know whether that undergraduate major exists in Europe or not. But I can say that in 30+ years in the biomedical business, I have never come across anyone with an undergraduate degree in Pathology from Europe or anywhere else.

These are mostly for graduate school. I know Duke's undergrad program is good (you can take classes in the med school), but I can't comment about the others for undergrad.
