Best school for microbiology major?

I"ve recently interested in microbiology and thinking of taking it as my major in college. So, do you know any good schools that has strong microbiology curriculum? And an OPTIONAL question: What kind of career you can get in with its degree? I've heard you can get into jobs that are in health science field, though.

Thanks!

I can't answer your question of best micro schools but here's a website that might help:

Johns Hopkins

Cornell
UCLA
UCSD
Chicago

Harvard, Stanford, Wisconsin, Hopkins, Illinois, Wash U, UCLA, Mich, Washington Udub

Does JHU have a good microbiology department? What can you do with a BA/BS in microbiology what's the starting salary?

Cool! Thanks for answering my questions! That asm.org website was very helpful, indeed. Schools... I don't know I'm good enough for Harvard, but I'll try to keep in mind those are colleges that have good microbiology system. BTW, what's LAC? (I'm guessing it's abberiviation for Liberal Arts College, but is that correct?)
