Pattern of difficulty in a specific area every month of testing?.. [Read]

Obviously, I think we all know that the hardest section for the October test was the writing. The reason for this (Or so I've heard) is that CB tends to introduce new patterns for grammar and math during the "new" year, so the entire test is somewhat experimental. Moving away from this, what about the November one? Which section was hardest for the November one?

If Math was Nov.'s hardest section, then we can ASSUME that CR in dec. will be the hardest section. (Don't flame please; I said assume).

And what about the tests before October? Does anyone have a list of the hardest section per testing month? Maybe there's a pattern?... I mean, CB will not allow like 5 uber-hard consecutive writing sections. There's gotta be a pattern or some sort of indicator that'll state something... I'm going on thoughts. Help me out?

It seems to be the common consesus that CR was the most difficult in November. Followed by writing, with Math being the easiest. I think that Math was much more difficlut than the writing sections but I did have an experimental math... possibly addled my mind.

I agree, CR was by far the hardest on the november test.

So: hardest -

October: Writing
November: CR
December: (?) Math (?)

Any1 have level of difficulties for the tests b4 October?

I dont know.. writing had its tricky questions too on this test.. but i would say = to october not easier.

I actually agree with this hypothesis.

I think you're right in assuming that CB "focuses" on one particular section as the difficult section in each administration. I noticed the trend as well.

october had a very generous math curve i.e. it was really hard

-1 = 800
-2 = 790

Nice - 1 = 800? i may still have a shot then.. as long as this one question was .4 percent..

If you want to look at some anectdotal analysis, princeton review collects info from test takers for some administrations of the test. It looks like it covers "general consensus" quite well, at least according to the tests my two children have taken.

Wow thanks so muuch mcmom!! that site is awesome. Thanks so much again.
Oh man I just checked it out. There is no other ones like january :d. Oh well thanks again though!

Gyros - the January 2006 test was one that was released to students who purchased questions and answers. Perhaps one of your friends took it and has the test? As I recall, the January test had a slightly more difficult math section resulting in a curve like Oct (-1 800)

Yea i had the jan test. Sorry i meant may. I can post the stuff for jan. the CR was brutal on it (it was the median score like the blue book except for -2 = 800). So i can see a raw score of 64 in CR be a 790 or 800. Writing was BRUTAL AS ever in january. I dont have Q and S for May but writing was good on that (-6 MC + 9 essay = 690. Very generous). On january - 10 + 8 essay = 600.
