Paul McCartney Tour

anyone gonna see sir paul tour this fall? i'm really hoping i can. i guess this also opens up the question: anyone on here a beatles fan?

Enormous Beatles fan. I will check out Paul's tour dates to see if I'm anywhere nearby. I will be seeing the Stones however. I'm still ****ed that I couldn't see Cream and won't be able to see Floyd though.

Favorite Beatles Song: A Day in the Life
Others: Let it Be, Strawberry Fields Forever, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, With A Little Help From My Friends

I'm generally into their more experimental/drug influenced stuff than the pop-ish crap like "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (I hate that song).

Edit: Nice reference to Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

nice, yeah i love the Beatles. and that rocks that you're seeing the Stones, I really wanted to but I don't think I'll be able to. same with Cream and Floyd :( damnit man, i'm ****ed off again lol.

george is definitely my favorite beatle, so my favorite song (though it changes often lol) has to be either Here Comes the Sun or While My Guitar Gently Weeps. I love Clapton's lead on the latter. the others...there's just too much to list.

and yeah i prefer their later stuff, but i still do like their early stuff mainly because i just love their use of harmonizing with each other. they just totally rocked at that. plus it's interesting to see how the develop, both musically and lyrically, through the ages. i mean it's amazing to think that "Love Me Do" and "Eleanor Rigby" or "In My Life" could come from the same band.

haha and yeah, good eye on the Maxwell's Silver Hammer spotting.

good to see someone with awesome taste in music

my favorite beatle=lennon, no contest. paul wrote nice poppy stuff and sang all growly, ringo was fun and, well, a drummer, george was the best guitarist and wrote some great stuff, but john was best all around--vocals, music and writing, not to mention political activism : )
after the band broke up, paul released an unbelievably bad album, mccartney, while lennon put out an amazing one, imagine..

yeah what's with floyd reuniting for live 8!! crazy!

i saw paul mccartney in 2002. he was awesome!! my friend has tickets, and hopefully he can get me and my boyfriend some, too. they're the craziest beatle-heads at their age i've ever met.
