I'm a senior applying to be a freshman at UCI and I really want to go into the business/economics field.

When I was choosing my major, I was trying to figure out which one to put down as my main/alternate choices: Business Admin at Paul Merage or Biz Econ in the normal school of social sciences. What exactly is the difference between both and what do you guys think is the smarter decision?

Thanks for the help in advance :D

Biz Econ is just an Economics degree with the requirement you take some management courses. I am a biz econ major and the major is okay to be honest. The question you want to ask yourself is how much math and statistics you want to take. Bus Admin majors just need math up to single integral calculus and one statistics class. Business econ majors need probability and statistics, econometrics, and math up to partial differential equations and linear algebra. But in regards to networking the Merage school is better suited once you approach graduation for job prospects.
