Paying for Oxford (EMORY) Question

Im an international student, accepted at oxford, but apparently I only received a 150000USD financial aid award for achievement. My income is <100000 so, there is no way I can pay for oxford. Is there a solution? The award is said to be calculated from my CSS profile and meant for international students to be able to study at oxford (is an achievement/need-based award) Can I try and ask Oxford to recalculate my aid or something like that? If not, which are my options?

sory I meant 15,000 USD not 150,000 USD

Bumppp

You have to talk to the financial aid office at Oxford. This college does not guarantee to meet 100% of need for any students. That they accepted an international student without meeting need, means that they are prepared to take the risk that you cannot raise the money and may not show. You cannot get a student visa without showing with certified proof that you can pay what you need to study here, and the part that the school kicks in, is only going to show $15K as it is. You can’t come up with the remainder, you don’t get the visa and you can’t come here for school. Take it up with them at Oxford, and see if there are any options they have for you.

Oxford like most schools in the US uses the ability to pay when it comes to admitting international students. Since Oxford is not need blind to international students, you must have presented your self and your parents financials (income/assets/bank statements) as having the ability to pay for Oxford (which would be a big criteria in accepting you).

Oxford gave you a 15k merit and expects you to pay the rest. IF you cannot afford to pay, you will not receive a visa to study in the US. I hope that you did apply to some affordable schools or you may have to attend college in your home country.
