When you’re abroad, if there’s good public transportation, learn the ins and outs of it as soon as you can so that you know all the deals and for example, that some types of trains are more expensive than others. I’m not sure where you’re going, but if you will be traveling around a bunch I also know that at least where I studied there are deals on some train tickets if you by them much ahead of time online. There are also different train and bus passes which could be worth looking into. Also, if you’re taking a little trip, hostels are definitely the place to stay and save money!</p>
