paying for tutition

I paid for the tutition in ebill yesterday, how long will it take to show up in bearfact? And when will the aomunt be deduted in the bank account? I have the same amount of money in the bank after I paid?!

^^^ yeah, i'd like a little clarification on the whole paying tution thing. my account had ~$4500 balance and now it's $0. my parents are asking me how much the bill is going to be on the 15th this month and i have no idea what to tell them.....

Payment is not instantaneous when you use the transfer from a bank account. Payment yesterday is showing in the e-bill payment history as complete, but the bank account is not yet debited and there is no sign yet of the pending transaction. Thus no change in bank balance yet, but the CARS system knows this was paid.

so will the balance on bearfact>CAR>quick statement become $0 if I have paid for the due or it will remain the same?

mine balance is 0 and i haven't paid for anything..

I paid my E-bill yesterday...when will it say I'm a registered student? On BearFacts, the quick statement changed to $0, so I know they've accepted the transaction.

If your balance is 0 and have not paid anything then they probably took money from your financial aid awards to pay for it. For me they sent $7,000 (Cal Grant,Pell Grant,UC Berkeley Scholarships) to CARS and that paid off the bill for August and gave me a balance of 0.

viromonkey:

did they send you something in ur email saying that they deducted money from cal grant, ug scholarships, etc?

because i already accepted all my awards and even a couple loans and they still haven't cleared my fee yet... =/

If you go to Bearfacts > CARS > Award Summary, it will show you which scholarships have been processed. This is more recent than ebill.

If you go to Bearfacts > CARS > Quick Statement, it will show you how much you currently owe.

If you go to Bearfacts > CARS > Ebill, it will give you a detailed listing of the fees and credits, however, this is updated only once a month so it may have changed since then. The credits are the scholarships that have been processed as of the ebill date.

^ Yah what Cheeks said. Also the financial aid office always sends out a bunch of emails that say the same thing. On the far right there is a section that say "money sent to CARS."

So if the minimum amount due is 0, then we don't have to do anything right?

ya ya
