In reference to my previous thread I started about PCC. I'm sorry it got close due to the bickering that started on it. It was not my intent to start a harsh conversation.

Many of my family members have graduated from PCC, along with myself, and I understand the desire to defend it. Which was the reason for my post.

A lot of people I notice post about PCC completly bitter and turned away from God and blame PCC for their downfall when in reality it is themselves. They attack the school and post it online for everyone to hear.

I started the thread to post about the rules and about the school that someone doing research would know what the rules were like from a clear non-bitter perspective. I have several friends that were completely shocked when they arrived because they did no research. Just saw the posters of smiling people and a pretty campus. I wasn't taken aback by the rules because I grew up in a similar environment and had been around PCC for 10 previous years before enrolling into the college.

PCC was good for me, I learned a lot, both positive and negative. I am obtaining a second degree now after transferring credits because of my desire to get a teaching certificate, which requires an regionally accredited degree that PCC through TRACS does not supply. I was luckily able to transfer credits, although if I wasn't transferring a bachelors I'd have to complete 2 years worth of graduation required classes, and that would cost more than my entire pcc degree cost. So yeah, PCC has its upsides and its downs. PCC is not for everyone, but I met my future husband there and that, in itself, makes it a good memory and worthwhile for me.
