Peabody Dean's Achievement Scholarship/ Peabody School

I just received this scholarship nearly out of the blue, and have been unable to find too much information on it. Anyone else receive it or know anything about it? I was shocked when I came on this website and there weren't 800 gazillion posts on it like I normally see.

On a more general note, anyone feel like adding information about the school? I haven't found out too much about it, nor have I visited yet.
Thanks!

Im just curious, you said that you were shocked to recieve the scholarhip, does that mean you never applied for it?

Congratulations, AUVorTUBS! Did you receive your notification via email or snail mail? Is it full tuition or partial? Either way, it is a great award.

Since you haven’t visited, I highly recommend it especially if you are considering multiple schools. Also, check out the Vanderbilt website. There is a bunch of information and virtual tours.

I did not apply for the scholarship, in fact I recall talking to a couple friends about applying for the Cornelius Vanderbilt and other awards and specifically chose not to because I thought it was unobtainable. It was a full tuition scholarship only, no room and board, but still a lot of money. I received it via email, did not got snail mail but was told it was on the way.

I fully intend to visit and find all information possible on the school, however, I don’t see how it is possible to turn such a prize down.

Pretty awesome, I would say! If you are interested in the programs offered by Peabody, it does seem hard to turn down.

Hello,

I too was shocked when I also received this e-mail telling me that I had received this scholarship. I tried to find anything about the scholarship on their website but all that I seem to find are scholarships that require applications. Nothing helpful, but I guess we are in the same boat.

Neuman, I’m thankful of your response. For a minute there, I thought perhaps the scholarship was a hoax! I guess we’ll find out some more information in the coming days, and let’s keep the line of communication open.

You have to be two of luckiest people around! Might be the week to buy a lottery ticket as well… ;D Congrats!
