I go to a bad school where most of the students don't write too well. How many of you are going to write it yourselves?

Character is who you are when no one is watching.

If you write the peer rec your self, you are starting out disrespecting the same honor code which you will be expected to follow once you get in. Personal charter is a big part of the admissions process

Your rec does not have to be someone from your school. It could be someone who knows you really well but does not go to your school. Hopefully they will have some anecdotes that help present a side of you that is not already on the application

Oh no... my friend wrote it for me, I am just worried that he did not do a good job. Is it alright to see what he wrote.

Fortunately, my best friend is an aspiring writer. He's not too bad. I do kind of vent around him a lot, and act sad often, but that's only because we're such good friends and I know he has things to say too. Hopefully he doesn't think I'm crazy. ;)

Do not write it yourself. Not only is it extremely unethical, it's highly unlikely that they'll see through it, in my opinion.

Just find the best person you can. It's not about how well they write--they're admitting you, not them--but about what they say about you. You can find the best writer in the world, but if they have nothing good to say, what does that say about you?

P.S.--If you'd started off with "I go to a bad school where most of the students don't write too good," I would've busted a gut laughing. ;)

Lol journogirl, i really liked that one.
