<p>What is a "peer" defined as in their eyes? The first thing that comes to mind is a friend but I was wondering whether you could get an adult outside of school to fulfill this requirement...Thanks</p>
<p>i suppose you could but that would be no different than sending an additional teacher/adult recc through the common app. for me, i'm sending a recc from one of my high school friends because i really do think that's what dartmouth wants. it's just another way for them to get a different view of you as a friend or classmate more so than just a student</p>

<p>i asked a friend to write one for me and I sent a letter of reference from a teacher from bachelors department I knew really well!!!</p>
