I recently applied to Dartmouth, unfortunately, I only realized they recommended peer recommendations after I submitted my application with all the “other” recommendations section filled with supervisors. Would I be able to submit an additional peer recommendation through the applicant portal if my friend were to sign her recommendation and I scanned and uploaded it as an “additional application material”
My son applied to a school that had the “Peer Recommendation” on the portal. It worked for him - he clicked on it and the portal prompted him to enter the name, email, and phone number of one of his classmates. His friend answered the questions and it was over and done.
If that option is listed for you on your portal, click on it and see what it says.
I would try submitting it through the portal, as @EconPop suggested
Answering a few questions is not what the Dartmouth peer recommendation is about. You may have hit on a good solution @durualp but I would call/email admissions and ask. You are not the first applicant in history to learn about the peer recommendation late in the process, as a search on this site would tell you [maybe even reassure you?], and the college has always been tolerant of late submissions.
[Edit] Good lord, there’s another thread on this same topic right now. Trust me, this is no biggie.
