I got accepted into PEERS and know very little about the program. :(
It would be nice to hear from some of the people who know how it works and the kids that got accepted this year.

Hey I got into PEERS too!

They have their own website that details everything they do for you, but it is mainly a way to have further success in science with tutoring, one on one stuff, etc.

Here's the site: PEERS

Thanks! I guess I should have gone to the website before starting the thread. :)

It's associated with the AAP program and basically, it's there to encourage URM and disadvantaged students in pursuing maths and sciences. It's mostly a retention and support program.

Wait....how did you find out about PEERS? I've never heard of this and now they're not accepting applications....ahhhh...oops...are there any other programs like this?!

If you're most likely, an URM, disadvantaged student, math/science major, and/or within a socioeconomic class, I believe you receive information. It's like when you're AAP-eligible - it depends really on your socioeconomic status.

can we still sign up for it?
