<p>Do you mean when do they physically pay it? Or when is is awarded in a financial aid package?</p>
<p>For my daughter the Pell (and the rest of her aid and scholarships) is paid into her bursars account at the beginning of each semester. If the aid and scholarships exceed the direct school charges (tuition and fees etc) then any excess money is paid to her after the add/drop period. At her school this means she usually gets the balance of her aid for the semester paid to her about 2 1/2 weeks into the semester. She uses this for rent etc. The timeline will vary at each school. </p>
<p>If you mean when is it awarded - it should be included in your financial aid packages from your school(s).</p>
