Right now I have used up 587.513% of my pell grant. The difference is about $693 left.
I’m enrolled in fall 2015 for 6 units, does that meant I will receive half of $693?
Thanks

Not sure…but if you are entitled to the full Pell of $5770, it would seem you would get the full $693 now…but that’s it.
What is your FAFSA EFC?
Estimated Expected Family Contribution (EFC)= 000000
How many semesters/years have you been in college? How many credits do you have and what are you short to graduate?
Here’s a decent link about Pell grant and lifetime eligibility

This fall 2015 will be my 13th semester. Taking 6 units this semester will put me at 126 units.
I only need 123 units to graduate, but I want to take that extra class.
And I forgot of the time frame. Am I not eligible for pell anymore because i’m over 120 units (but did not use up 600%)?
My school is SFSU.
Thanks
I thought Pell eligibility was only for 12 semesters. You are on your 13th.
Contact your financial aid office. If 12 semesters is the limit, you won’t get anything more.
I thought it meant for 12 full semesters, so 100% of the pell grant for each year. But 1 year I didnt get 100% because I was less than full time, and that left me at 587%.
I am not eligible anymore because fall 2015 is my 6 1/2 year in school even though I have less than 600%?
Your financial aid office will tell you whether your extra semester has rendered you unable to qualify. Pell is a federal program and your college won’t risk being out of compliance.
Pell is measured in % used … they say semesters to keep it simple, but it can get confusing if you receive Pell for any semester at less than full time enrollment.
You will receive the remainder of your Pell in the fall semester. After that, you can no longer receive Pell. Also, there is no rounding up … so you might receive $1 less than you thought.
Visit your financial aid office. If you are really close to graduation, they may have extra funding to assist - some schools do, and it never hurts to ask. Try to bypass the person at the desk - see if you can schedule an appointment with the customer service manager. It might also help to talk with your academic advisor, who may be able to work with you and the aid office. I am not promising anything, of course. It’s just that you never know unless you try.
Thanks.
Do you happen to know if the remaining pell ($693) will be based on my enrollment status?
I’m taking 3-6 units.
If i’m taking 6 units, will I receive half of $693?
3 units = 1/4 of $693?
