^WOOO, less than two weeks!

I’m changing my bet to December 12th. :D

last year the decision got moved from the 15th to an earlier date. Hopefully they the 12th to the 7th

So when is the exact decision date?

for now its the 12th but they can move it earlier or later

Also, did anyone get any additional information request?

They officially posted it on their portal webpage, but why they move it earlier? Isn’t Dec 12th the final decision date?

Well seeing as the CSS still doesn’t show Penn’s ED/EA decision date, I’d assume the 12th isn’t the final date. I really do hope it does change to an earlier date, so I can get my over my decision (probable rejection) before massive projects are due.

2016 ED Decision date was December 9th (Friday), and 2015 ED Decision date was also the first Friday of December.

haha yea we all feel that wait psychedelia and I feel like there is a pattern and the decision will be moved to Dec. 7th based on previous years

At this point, I doubt that the date will be moved to December 7th. The notice they posted today is pretty specific with the 6 PM time. Although they reserve the right to change it, I’d be surprised if they change it by more than a day or so. Plus, they usually give more than a week’s notice of the actual date.

Just an instinct based on how they’ve done it the last several years.

Do you know at whatvpoint they changed it the past few years because last year they posted the date of the 15th on the website and then emailed students around december 1st notifying them of the December 6

December 9th notification date*

Actually, I’m not sure that they specifically identified December 15th at any point over the past several years. They just said “mid-December” in the general timetable that was always on the web site:

[Penn Admissions: Penn’s Admissions Timetable](Penn Admissions: Penn's Admissions Timetable)

At some point–last year it was on or about December 1st–they set a specific date and time, and emailed that to applicants and listed it on the decisions page (to which I linked above).

Of course anything is possible, but the notice they posted today for December 12th at 6 PM is pretty specific (and corroborates what another poster on this thread was told earlier). In any event, they also said that you’ll receive an email next week with further instructions (which is why I doubt that decisions will be released next Friday, although I could be wrong).

Subject to change -___-

Why, Penn, why? Why do you do this to us, knowing that we love you so…

^ completely agree. It sucks to wait.

I’ll be getting the decision right as I get out of school, on a Friday. This could either make or break my weekend. -sigh-

Haha I know, I need these decisions next Friday man

@pennalumni twitted today “A new record is set for @penn Early Decision Interview effort. 3000+ interviews w/ 2 days to go!”

So they are wrapping up this Saturday. I still got a feeling the 7th is the date although they have posted the 12th.

^Why the 7th, of all dates?

I really hope you’re right, though! It’s much better than waiting another couple days.

Good luck to the 3000+ applicants who will have their interviews in the next two days! :)

OMG i have my midterm exams on the 13th 14th. If the decision is out on the 12th, i’ll probability screw my exams…
