Penn admissions question

Now one question I have is that the October SATs are now in mid month (I think the 15th or 16th). How is Penn dealing with that? (Should I just rushing the scores in or something?)

how... this thread has a lot of qualified posters... does anyone happen to kno whether its possible to use a penn application and then to send in a common app teacher rec?? i really dont mind filling out several apps but my teachers r very busy, and i dont wanna have to bother them several times... so is that possible?

my school had a good system that worked fine for ALL colleges. you fill out the specific forms, leavng only the spot for the teacher signature. provide an addressed, stamped envelope. Do this for all colleges you want that teacher to write a rec to. He/She would then write one rec, make copies, and mail em off.

In short, I think it would be fine

a high school specific one??? yea, I've seen those before, but what did u do with the ratings?? u kno... the ones with "oustanding" or "one of the top few ever encountered in my career"?? did they fill those out? for several recs?

nope, never did. It might have been because of my school. I'm not trying to brag or anything but a good 25-30% or so goes Ivy every year so it would have been unfair to many to try to rank them. I'm guessing that's the case for many magnet programs. We also didn't give out our class ranks, or have official valedictorians.

Talk to your counselor about what to do, but if you're worried, try calling/emailing admissions.

and hey. it's summer. ENJOY IT. definitely do not need to be stressing about minutae such as this until the time comes. I don't think I gave teachers apps until october
