“University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business is set to launch a new program today for undergraduates studying liberal arts, science and nursing at the Ivy League institution and looking to gain early admission to its prestigious graduate business school.

Investment banker Ken Moelis and his wife, Julie Taffet Moelis, gave a $10 million gift to their alma mater to create the program, which is open to Penn seniors aiming to work for up to four years after graduation before returning to campus to study management.

University of Pennsylvania administrators are marketing the program to students who will enter their senior year in fall 2017; it is expected to admit around 10 students.”

Good News for Penn students!

HBS has similar program for all college students.

According to DP, open to all four schools:

@fs2000sa I think what they meant is that that this program (which mainly targets liberal arts and science undergrads), in addition to the already existent submatriculation program open to Wharton undergrads, will allow students from all four undergrad schools at Penn to apply for the Wharton MBA while still undergrads.
Wharton undergrads already have the opportunity to do this through submatriculation, but now it is also open to the rest of Penn undergrads through this program.

@Penn95 sub-matriculation is different. It is 4+1 years continuously. This program allows you to work up to four years, and will provide merit-based FA of 10K plus per year during MBA…

Hmm you are right, that is true. then my guess would that they will probably divide the 10 spots across the 4 schools, giving more spots to CAS,SEAS & Nursing, but including the sub matriculation option Wharton undergrads have, the divide should be more or less equal. Also, I don’t think many Wharton kids go for the sub matriculation option and even for an MBA later on. Many/most feel they don’t really need it, which makes sense.
