Penn Decision ID = Application Complete?

If you’ve received the letter that gives you an ID and PIN, does that mean the admissions office has received all the material needed for review?
Couldn’t find any info on that…
Anyone who knows, please post.

I think so. And, if Penn doesn't have everything they'll send you a postcard notifying you.

the id and pin are sent shortly after they receive ur Part 1 and parrt2 online .. i got that in January first week.... this has nothing to do with application complete or so ..

though well if the application is incomplete they will notify you.. yet if the application is complete , they care not to bother informing.,..that's their policy...

SM

does anyone have a link for the tracking site?

I don't think Penn has a tracking site. They send you a letter saying they have everything and are ready to begin processing and another letter telling you how to access your decision.

No it does not mean your application is complete. I applied early decision, and got my pin number sometime in November. A week into December I got one of those bastard little postcards.

i'm really worried. penn hasnt sent me anything....other than the initial 'we received part 1". should be concerned?

Pindar, if you submitted part II, you should have received an email confirmation and a letter with your PIN number. Something sounds wrong to me if you haven't heard anything at all since sending in part I.

well i sent in my part 2 through the mail..i didnt do it on line

How do we know if they got all of the financial aid ****?

my mom was asking me the same thing today Esqua, because apparently the FAFSA didnt make its way to the 7th school I sent it to, so she's flipping out that all of them might not have gotten it.

Penn doesn't have a tracking site. Penn only has a site that tells you your online decision. That's it. I also received my Penn ID in January after Part I and II.

Pindar: When Penn visited my school, they said that if you could either: Send Part I in the mail and send Part II online or both Part I and II online. She didn't say anything about Part I online and Part II by mail. I suggest you call the admissions office.

hmm....maybe ill call every college on monday, track down those slippery bastards and ask them.
