Penn Housing - Where to Live/Opinions on Mentors Residential Program

I will be attending Penn in the fall, and I am just now completing my housing application. I have heard the quad is the best place to live. Which of the three buildings are the best? I’ve heard Reiper is the best in the quad… Is this still true?

Also, I am unsure of whether I should apply to a residential program. The only one that jumps out at me is the Mentors Program. Have you lived in a RP? What was the experience? Did you feel isolated from the rest of the students? Was it a redeemable experience?

How about the Mentors Program specifically? Is it worthwhile? I love working with children, so I think I’d enjoy it. I’m just very nervous about overworking myself freshman year.

Thanks!

@kb13579 The Quad was the top place for freshman, but that might have changed now that Hill has been renovated and that there is the New College House. Esp if you are an engineering student Hill or nEW college house are great options. I lived in Riepe and it was probably the best in the Quad.
