Penn interview

So I just got a call from a Penn alum who invited me to an interview. Are there any questions they'll ask me besides the obvious like "why penn, what do you want to do, etc".

No, not really. Tell me about yourself, why Penn, what major are just about the only questions you have to prepare for. Most of the interview is questions about Penn and more analysis about the response you give to those 3 basic questions.

^ Pretty much that. I said I was kinda undecided so she asked how Penn will allow me to find what I want to do

I don’t know about everyone else, but for me, the interviewer saw me as a potential accepted student. His goal was to maximize yield by asking me what other colleges I applied to and he tried to make it very clear that Penn was the best. The moral here is that if you are put in this situation don’t list every college you applied to (especially if it is multiple ivies) and make it clear that Penn is your first choice. I was also asked what three people I would choose to eat dinner with as an unorthodox question.
Hope this helps and good luck with the interview.

My Penn interview was much different than the others. It was almost exclusively “Why Penn” and questions that i had.

Mine was basically ‘why penn’, what are some extracurriculars I’m in, what other schools I’m applying to, what I’m interested in studying, and a challenge that I’ve overcome. Ususally I go to [College Interview Questions - Be Prepared For These Common College Interview Questions](College Interview Questions You Should Master) to prepare for my interviews.
