about the sweatshirt ZANG, i think that if you wore it, if you DEFINATELY show some comintment that you really want to go there and that you even bought a sweatshirt to show you're motivated to go there and actually visited the site (with proof and evidence) instead of saying the same facts people always get from the penn website. just make sure the sweatshirt is not casual, cause that won't set off any good standards for sure.

KRabble - Really glad to hear your interview went well. The story you told about your parents was something - it would make an amazing essay. The part that got to me was about your gradual awareness of the significance of what your parents did to get where they did.

Zhang - For what it's worth, I had an "interview" when the regional reps from one of my RD schools came to my HS (not really supposed to be, but that's what it turned out, since I was the only senior there). I was wearing that school's sweatshirt that day, and she immediately asked if I had visited the campus (which is far from here) and seemed pleased that I was wearing it. I still don't think I would wear it to an out of school interview, though.

haha, I'm a girl 26e! It's okay though.
I have the sweatshirt because I did a summer program there... M&TSI
But now that I think about it, maybe I won't wear it. But we'll see.
Thanks for the advice everyone!

lol, this is at least the second time i've seen people mistake the gender of a poster. i think on the information, along with "join date," "posts," etc, there should be "gender." that way, we know whether to use he or she lol.
