Penn or Cornell

I am in the engineering school for both universities. I am also interested in pursuing a minor in something business-related. Which is the better school?

They are both fantastic. So there’s no possible correct answer.

Penn is a business school juggernaut.
Cornell is an engineering juggernaut.
Both are super in the other.
Cornell is not in a major city.
Penn is in a major city.
Cornell is known to be intense academically
Penn is also no cakewalk in your major.
Sports scene is the same.
Penn hoops
Cornell ice hockey.
Socially, anecdotal evidence points to Penn.
More snow at Cornell.

I’d say that for engineering Cornell might be too good to pass up in light of your primary interest in this area.

Probably shouldn’t have committed to Penn already… I just liked the overall school better but wasn’t thinking too hard about my major.

Now, I don’t know what to do.

Penn’s a fine school for engineering. My comment above was made without having seen that you have developed an overall preference for Penn.

I don’t know if I made the right decision.

If you chose Penn, you did not make the wrong decision. It’s engineering program is excellent, and you seem to like the university itself better.

smarttart, you like Penn better, so it is a better choice for you. Do not overthink this. Congratulations on attending such an exceptional university.

Major isn’t really important as an undergrad. You made the right choice IMO.
