Penn or Hopkins?

I’m really stuck between Penn and Hopkins at this point in time. I was almost ready to give Penn up to go to Hopkins when I stumbled upon the Princeton Review’s college ratings and found Hopkins had a poor quality of life and professors that didn’t really care about the student body.

While I have been reading responses from the Hopkins crowd, I just wanted to get the perspective of Penn students. Have you found it to be more of a cooperative or cutthroat learning environment? Are professors really accessible as the administration says they are? If you had to do it all over again, would you still choose Penn?

Just as a side note, I am planning to finish my pre-med requirements with a humanities major (most likely history or political science).

Thanks for any help or input!

Having never gone to Hopkins, I can’t really make that comparison. However I felt professors here are very accessible and will always be happy to schedule meeting times outside their normal office hours (although I’ve never really taken advantage of this because I’m too lazy).

I have yet to meet any students who aren’t willing to help for fear of raising the curve or whatever. I’ve realized that, if anything, the smarter the student the happier they would be to show off their prowess in a particular subject…=)
