Penn Ranked #2 in Millionaire Alumni

of course penn is still #1 in billionaire alumni

Not surprising. I am just wondering how they managed to determine that (and how long it must have taken them). There are thousands and thousands of millionaire alumni from schools like Penn, Harvard, Stanford etc and it is much harder to determine all the millionaires as opposed to all the billionaires (there are way fewer, more prominent and easier to verify).

@PennCAS2014 Apparently they’re also #1 in cheap b****rd millionaires & billionaires or they’d have a heck of a lot bigger endowment. cough Trump cough

@tdy123 Forget getting the Trumps to contribute, maybe they could pay their interns! I have to say that if I were a billionaire, I can’t image why I would not pay the interns a reasonable salary.

@tdy123 haha yes i agree they could be a little more generous. But having one of the 10 biggest endowments in higher education and having the 5th best endowment/student ratio in the Ivy League in a city that is significantly less expensive to operate in than NYC or Boston isn’t that bad of a situation to be in.

@tdy123 Penn has the most billionaires but it is probably true that Harvard, Stanford’s billionaires/millionaires have a considerably bigger total wealth than Penn, hence the higher level of donations and thus endowments etc. Plus the fact that the Harvard, Stanford names are probably the strongest names in US higher education, explains why they attract a disproportionate amount of donations from non-affiliated donors (what better, most prestigious place to park your money?). Also Yale, Princeton have always had more money than Penn, which has compounded over the decades. Still Penn is at a great place and constantly improving in that area. Lol Trump doesn’t pay decently his workers, interns, contractors, not surprised he has contributed next to nothing to Penn.
